Robert grew his families foodservice business into one of the largest independent foodservice distributors in the Northeast.
After more than four decades of leadership at City Line Distributors and two years as CEO of Navis Food Partners, Robert Berkowitz will transition to the role of Navis Chairman Emeritus while continuing to serve on the Board of Directors and remain a major equity holder. In this capacity, he will continue to actively support the company by focusing on platform strategy and identifying accretive acquisition opportunities.

Robert joined City Line Distributors in 1984 and has since served as the company’s Chief Executive Officer and President. Under his leadership, City Line Distributors has grown from $7 million in revenue in 1983 to over $250 million today. Robert is responsible for the general strategy and operations of Navis Food Partners, where he has been instrumental in efficiently scaling the company.
Robert holds a J.D. from Stanford University and a B.A. in Accounting from Boston University.
